AUBREY BEARDSLEY X GODIVA

A creative collaboration between artist and cooperate company in the market so to create another perspective. I have chosen Aubrey Beardsley, creating an extending line and new look for Godiva.

 

Beardsley was a very talented young man who died young in his 20s. His work style revolved around eroticism, sinister feel, black and white colour combination, naughty, grotesque and the culture he used to live in— emotionalism, irrationalism and subjectivism. He was bold as he dared to approach sensitive topics. This made him stand out among his peers.

 

I have chosen a collaboration between him and Godiva because the concept of joy.Beardsley was living in a state of emotionalism and happiness was the key. Chocolate can give us happiness.

 

The concept derived from the phrase "Joy Orgasm". It tells us about how happiness can be as simple as just eating a piece of chocolate.

 

Deliverables: Logo, Packaging (gift set and individual), Direct Mailer (tear-out gift card), Poster (A2), Catalog (32pp *big* + 12pp *small*)
